IPOB Rejects Nnamdi Kanu’s Purported Suspension, Says Edoziem Group Lacks Authority

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has rejected reports claiming that its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, was suspended by a faction allegedly led by Simon Edoziem.

In a statement, IPOB described the suspension as invalid, arguing that the Edoziem group no longer holds any legitimate authority within the movement. The organization maintained that Kanu remains its recognized leader and insisted that only duly constituted structures of IPOB can make decisions affecting the group's leadership.

The development highlights ongoing internal disagreements within the pro-Biafra movement, with rival factions laying claim to leadership and decision-making powers. IPOB urged its members and supporters to disregard the reported suspension, describing it as an attempt to create confusion within the organization.

The controversy comes amid continued legal and political debates surrounding Kanu and the future direction of the separatist group.
