Peace, security driving investments in Delta, says Oborevwori

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has attributed the growing influx of investments into the state to the improved security environment achieved through collaborative efforts between the government, security agencies, and local communities.

at a recent event, the governor stated that peace and stability remain critical factors influencing business decisions, noting that investors are more willing to commit resources to areas where lives and property are adequately protected. He emphasized that Delta State's efforts to strengthen security have helped create a favorable atmosphere for economic growth and development.

to Oborevwori, the administration has continued to invest in security infrastructure, logistics, and intelligence gathering to support law enforcement agencies in tackling crime and maintaining public safety. He added that these measures have contributed to increased confidence among local and foreign investors.

The governor highlighted several ongoing and proposed investment projects across key sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure. He noted that the state's strategic location, abundant natural resources, and business-friendly policies are further enhancing its attractiveness as an investment destination.

also called on residents to support government efforts by remaining vigilant and cooperating with security agencies. He stressed that sustainable development can only thrive in an environment where peace and order are maintained.

leaders and economic analysts have echoed the governor's position, noting that security remains one of the most important considerations for investors. They argue that states that successfully address security concerns are often better positioned to attract capital, create jobs, and stimulate economic activity.

As Delta State continues to pursue its development agenda, the government says it will remain focused on strengthening security and creating opportunities that improve the living standards of residents while encouraging greater private-sector participation in the economy
